LSMC – The Basics.
All you need to know before you join our club…
What is on offer:
Trips
Fresher’s Day Trips – Cragging in the Peak District (Day)
Capel Curig – Mountain fun in Snowdonia (weekend)
Lakes Trip – Mountain Skills in the Lake District (weekend)
Christmas Dinner – Fancy Dress in the Lake District (weekend)
Annual Dinner – Black Tie in Snowdonia (weekend)
Font – A week bouldering in France. (first week of Easter)
Pembroke – South Wales sea cliff climbing (bank Holiday weekend)
These are just the ‘Official’ trips, there is always the opportunity to get on some other trips organised between the members, you just need to get involved and meet the right people.
Gear
The club has a huge amount of gear available for all members to borrow. From harnesses and helmets to ice axes and bouldering mats.
Bouldering wall
The club has exclusive access to a private campus bouldering wall. Only members are allowed in. It is free to use, whenever you like.
Training
There are twice weekly circuit training sessions run by the training sec to stop you getting fat and try and build up your general fitness and climbing related muscles.
Aside from strength training, the club runs a subsidised SPA training course, First Aid course and Winter Mountaineering course.
Social Scene
We are all a very friendly bunch and often go to the pub. We also organise regular social events / nights out.
There is usually a car or two each week that heads out climbing somewhere local crags in the summer or local indoor climbing walls in the winter.

The forum is the place to be when it comes to meeting up with other climbers and getting things done, it is your one stop shop for information, photos, chat and getting people together to go out there and get some climbing done.
