Climbing is often viewed as a dangerous and extreme sport. To an extent this is true, but educated judgement, common sense, experience and the correct use of equipment, while not making it totally safe, can significantly reduce the risks. However, all of our activities take place in situations and locations where the conditions are unpredictable. You can take all the relevant safety precautions and still be unlucky enough to get injured or killed.
The club, web administrators and content authors accept no responsibility for actions of the users of this website. It is the individual's responsibility to get any required instruction for the use of any techniques or equipment. The individual takes full responsibility for injuries or damage they cause on themselves, others and any equipment or property.
While some of the articles on this site may offer opinions on techniques, equipment usage, grading and other technical matters, they are not necesserally the best or correct way of doing things. All articles are just the opinions of the author, and can never replace proper instruction and training. This site is not intended as in instructional site, and no information should be considered a suitable alternative to proper training or educated personal judgement.
Climbing is all about personal judgement. Before doing anything, evaluate it for yourself, don't just do it becuase someone else is, or because you read it somewhere. Remember, it's your life on the end of the rope.
